With over 70 years of experience assisting Olim as they settle in Israel, Telfed – the South African Zionist Federation (Israel) – continues to welcome hundreds of new Southern African and Australian immigrants to Israel each year. We ensure that both new and veteran olim receive the necessary support to establish and maintain themselves in Israel, in so doing becoming productive citizens and strengthening the country.
Our basket of charitable services to bolster the community include (inter alia): pre-and-post immigration guidance and information, social welfare assistance, support for lone soldiers, three different scholarship tracks, career counselling, employment advice, social integration activities, events and information services. We are conscious to adapt to our community’s evolving needs, ensuring that members of our oleh community have a smooth landing and successful absorption.
