The Tower of David Museum offers visitors the opportunity to understand the history of Jerusalem and its significance. The permanent exhibition utilizes illustrative methods rather than a collection of artifacts to relate the city’s history and the cultural and educational programming open new vistas for visitors.
The Museum is committed to reaching out to impact on all sectors of the population by making access available to all and by creating programs which answer the needs of underserved communities.
The Museum creates special programs for schoolchildren with special needs, children and youth at risk, young soldiers in the Israeli Defense Forces, new immigrants and others. The Museum hosts populations from the geographic and cultural periphery who are not usually exposed to either the Museum or the legacy of Jerusalem.
Special group-specific programs respect cultural differences and are offered to ulltra-Orthodox Jewish groups and Arab schoolchilden and adults.
