Yad Eliezer

Yad Eliezer gives support to families going through difficult times and helps to reestablish them. Through our wide-range of programs, we help families break through the poverty line while upholding their dignity every step of the way. Yad Eliezer was established in 1984 with the single objective of delivering monthly food baskets to hungry families. Today, Yad Eliezer provides assistance to over 10,000 families each year, impacting the lives of at least 100,000 individuals, through its more than 15 economic and social service programs including food vouchers, educational programming, subsidized wedding halls and more. Yad Eliezer aims to combat poverty on the individual, family, communal, and national levels by providing critical short-term relief while simultaneously confronting the underlying causes of indigence, forging broad-based solutions that empower long term financial and emotional stability. Yad Eliezer operates on an annual budget of $22 million, with minimal overhead, thanks in part to our 10,000 volunteers.
