Many survivors suffer from unique problems directly originating from their experience in the Holocaust. They plague them day and night and disturb their peace of mind, which worsen over the years. They struggle with physical and health related issues, emotional distress, anxiety and – perhaps worst of all – loneliness, the absence of family and social support.
The goal of the Foundation is to provide diverse programs and services to Holocaust survivors who require assistance and raise public awareness to improve their welfare. To expand our programs for Holocaust survivors, we solicit funding and resources from various sources. The Claims Conference and the Ministry of Finance - Holocaust Survivors’ Rights Authority are one of the major funders of the Foundation along with various private and governmental donors in Israel and abroad.
The Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors who serve voluntarily. Half of them are Holocaust survivors and the rest are children of Holocaust survivors.
