The Movement for Freedom of Information

The Organization's aims to enhance public transparency through access to information. The organization attempts to create an environment in which the right to seek, receive and impart information becomes an integral aspect civil society.

FOIM works to implement the Freedom of Information Law by submitting Freedom of Information requests to public bodies. To achieve this we Movement activates 2 Law Clinics, for law students. In cases where the requests are refused we operate through filing petitions for information with the courts. We are assisted by 8 lawyers who voluntarily handle the legal cases. Alona Vinograd is the Organization's Director.
