A Holistic Approach to Crisis Response | Fulfilling an Unmet Need
During times of large scale crisis in Israel, the security forces and first aid/medical
authorities spring into action. Security forces work to eliminate the external threat and
medical authorities provide treatment to victims. Yet in any large scale crises, the lives of
tens-of-thousands of civilians are also profoundly impacted by events. The sheer number
of those in need and the absence of manpower, training and knowledge render municipal
and welfare authorities impotent, leaving civilians to cope on their own—until now.
