The Israeli Folk Dancers Association is a leading organization in its field, with the mission to preserve and nourish the culture & heritage of Israeli folk dancing in Israel and abroad and to encourage young people entering this field

Our association is a non profit organization, having its operation entirely based on groups of dedicated volunteers. Since 2007 we have successfully teamed up for advancing the following goals:

- Encouraging the heritage of classical Israeli folk dances through constant dialog with dancers and instructors.

- Representing the folk dancers, improving dancing sites conditions in dance sessions and Karmiel Festival, while preserving an affordable price level.

Our work plan for the next years is ambitious and requires external funding. It includes:
- encourage young people entering this field within schools, generating a framework which have been proven to reduce violence and increase the level of tolerance.

- Strengthening the bonds between dancers in Israel and abroad.

- Generating an online multimedia database for classical Israeli folk dances for preservation and instructional purposes.
