The ALSHAI association was established in 2009 with the aim of helping families with difficult days whose children are in special education, both with basic food products and hygiene products.
Today, through a mechanism of social workers in various schools in Israel with whom we are in close and personal contact, we distribute about 160 boxes of food once every two months and about 250 boxes on holidays (Rosh Hashana and Passover).
The boxes are distributed by special education teachers who arrive at the concentration place and from there each teacher distributes at home and told those needy families.
In addition, the association has undertaken from 2023 to help finance medicine for children who have lost all their body hair.
The disease is called alopecia areata and the medicine, which is not included in the health basket and costs thousands of shekels every month for the family, helps the regrowth of all their body hair and, among other things, the rehabilitation of the severe mental problems it entails (usually seclusion in homes due to shame).
As you may see on the Guidestar website (https://www.guidestar.org.il/organization/580512903), all members of the association work completely voluntarily and without pay.
Also, the association has public institution approval regarding donations according to section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance and proper management approval for 2024 from the Ministry of Justice and the Registrar of Associations.
