SID Israel is an umbrella organization of Israeli NGOs and government agencies working across the globe in humanitarian aid and international development. SID works to enhance and enable the noble and worthwhile efforts of its members and partners.

SID Israel engages in capacity building, policy reform and public awareness to galvanize Israeli society towards more effective and professional development and aid work across the globe. This work is coordinated with the 35 other branches of SID operating across the globe in an informal network of organizations and individuals committed to eradicating extreme poverty and providing disaster relief to distressed communities in the world. Our training sessions empower Israeli organizations and activists to perform high-quality humanitarian aid and international development world in the world's poorest countries and communities ravaged after natural disasters. Our policy reform efforts advocate changes to policies currently impeding this work and encourage broader engagement in international development by the Israeli government. SID's public awareness efforts spread the message of global solidarity to the Israeli public to encourage greater support and involvement in these efforts.
