At 50:50 Startups we focus on a central vehicle for economic cooperation - entrepreneurship - that brings together Jews and Arabs/Israelis and Palestinians to establish joint - and equally-owned - startups. This novel approach - that involves a long journey (8-month) enables participants to get to know the ‘others’, establish trust, and cooperate as equals, while gain access to invaluable skills (entrepreneurial, business, leadership), support and connections (through mentors, networking opportunities, access to investors) and can create sustainable economic outcomes. This journey creates a new reality between Jews and Arabs/Israelis and Palestinians - economic cooperation as equals - that can create a new peacebuilding landscape.
