The Civil Center for Figital Protection is an online social-initiative watchdog established by researchers, activists, and OSINT experts. Using a combination of intelligence experts and an online crowdsourced platform, FakeReporter and its community lead a civil effort against malicious online activities, such as disinformation, CIB campaigns, hate speech, and online violence.

Over the past year, FakeReporter has uncovered and removed several Iranian foreign influence campaigns, political and commercial networks of bots and fake profiles, and violent mob communication channels, along side fact-checking of Israeli media and political sphere as part of “Bodkim” project. The organization’s findings have been featured in the NYTimes, NBC, BBC, Buzzfeed, Vice, and more.
