To provide children at risk with a warm, family style home as well as a therapeautic campus to address their emotional and physical needs. Ohr Simcha is a therapeautic campus and home for boys ages 6-14 who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused and/or exploited. Literally translated Ohr Simcha means Light and Joy and this is our mission, to fill the lives our children with light and joy. Due to the unfortunate circumstances that many of our children come from, they require extra light and extra joy to compensate for the years of deprivation and suffering they have endured. We combine learning and individual care in unique ways that enable each and every child to reach his fullest potential. The children are always productively occupied and are constantly learning and discovering. Yet at the same time they are given enough freedom and support to develop as individuals.
