World Federation of Sephardi Communities - Israel Executive

To work to strengthen the connection and ties between communities of those of Sephardic Jewish descent, and Arab and Islamic countries in the world, and to the State of Israel, and to hold all types of congresses, events and conferences in connection with this. To engage in, participate in, support welfare activities of all kinds for institutions and individuals with limited capabilities among those of Sephardic and Eastern Jewish descent. To engage in, participate in, support the distribution of scholarships to students from among those of Sephardic and Eastern Jewish descent. To engage in, participate in, support the holding of cultural, folklore and heritage events of various communities among those of Sephardic and Eastern Jewish descent. To receive funds from the Zionist organizations, distribute them and/or coordinate their distribution among communities of those of Sephardic and Eastern descent in the world, and supervise their use for the purposes mentioned in sections (b), (c), (d), after covering the association's expenses in this regard. To manage, in cooperation with the Jewish Agency, the heritage fund established by the Jewish Agency for the Sephardic Federation in Israel and to allocate its proceeds, after covering the association's expenses, for the purposes mentioned in sections (a), (b), (c), (d). To work and advance the issue of return of property and rights left behind by Jews of Arab and Islamic countries in their countries of origin vis-à-vis the Government of Israel and other relevant factors and institutions, both in Israel and abroad, and also to work to strengthen awareness among youth and the general public, in Israel and in the world, regarding the plight, expulsion and departure of Jews from Arab and Islamic countries from their countries of origin. To work to ensure that the education system in the State of Israel also instills the historical heritage of Eastern Judaism, including those from Arab and Islamic countries, among young people in Israel.
