To educate and train Israeli religious youth to become skilled professionals. The youths study to complete their high school degree, along with Torah studies, and training for technical professions.
Today at Nechalim, we have 250 students aged 14- 18, studying at our institute, 130 living at the boarding school. Our students include immigrant youth from the Former Soviet Union and Ethiopia. The other students are youths at risk that were unable to acclimate and succeed in the traditional school systems. The majority of our students come from weak socio-economic backgrounds, development towns, neighborhoods in need, single parent families, and they many times have with accumulated gaps in learning, social skills and cultural differences. We aim to take these students who are struggling to succeed and to integrate them into Israeli society because of the many disadvantages mentioned above, and to provide them with an individually tailored education, training in a profession so that they will be able to support themselves as adults, and to educate them to Jewish and Zionist values.
