“Beit Yehuda,” a Bnei-Akiva affiliated yeshiva, is a high school with boarding supported by the Rural Education Administration and accredited by the Ministry of Education.
More than 400 students from all over Israel attend our school every year. Academics are a top priority and we endeavor to ensure that every student will have all the opportunities and resources they need to matriculate and enter adulthood as confident, independent, and contributing members of our society. In addition to a strong academic slate, we provide a wide array of after-class extra-curricular activities that empower our students to learn new skills and believe in their abilities; these activities also serve to defuse tensions, help students gain mastery over challenges and fears, and provide them with opportunities to relax and have fun. These experiences and the confidence they gain will eventually help our graduates integrate into Israeli society as productive and contributing adults. Our founding principles are to provide an education that is Zionist, religious, and value-based; encourage social investment and involvement through community volunteering; encourage all graduates to serve in the Israel Defense Force; encourage Aliya and maintain connection with Jewish in the Diaspora. Many of our students come from Israel’s periphery and families who are challenged economically and socially; we are their home-away-from-home where they can grow and develop, and receive equal opportunities to thrive academically and socially. Beit Yehuda is situated on Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip. This area has been the target of frequent missile attacks for more than 10 years; today we understand the emotional and physical threats to our students much better and take every step possible to mitigate the impact of the regional conflict on our students.
