Ohel Sarah was established by a true visionary couple, Rabbi and Mrs. Shmuel and Rivka Ginsburg, who opened their heart and home to people with disabilities and provided them with love, care and equality at a time when such people were shunned and hidden from society. What started as a small-scale initiative in the Ginsburg's living room, today constitutes an enterprise of 4 schools for children, 5 employment centers for adults and 30 group homes for children, adults and married couples. Furthermore, Ohel Sarah is today the leading voice for social changes of inclusion and integration for people with disabilities throughout the country.
Today, over 650 children and adults with disabilities ages 6 till end of life are helped by Ohel Sarah's wide range of centers and support services, as are their extended families. Ohel Sarah's activities are customized to benefit each person individually and provide him or her with the best, most professional care.
We are proud to lovingly provide each one of our students with the skills and abilities to lead lives of quality, independence and fulfilled potential as full-fledged members of the community.
