Israel Bicycle Association

The Israel Bicycle Association promotes bicycle transportation and culture in Israel, aiming to improve the quality of life, environment, public health and road safety and reducing social differences. Many of our 25,000 members are active in nation-wide volunteering teams, promoting bike issues in their communities. Many other are active in thematic teams: Public policy, bike-lanes planning, public health, media & Internet, legal assistance, Bike-2-Work, events, connectivity with public transportation, Safe Roots-2- School, mountain bike, road bike, Etc. Acting on various levels: National: Initiating and promoting legislation and regularization, encouraging bike usage, increasing riders' safety ; Promoting infrastructure development ; fighting bicycle theft ; promoting national and municipal plans ; working with "Israel Roads" over "cycling along inter-cities roads" regulation ; co-working with Public Transportat operators over bicycles & train/busses integration issues. Municipal: Guiding and co-working with over a 100 local authorities that promote BT.
