Matan Nachliel, was established 23 years ago in Carmiel as a Jewish outreach organization that reaches out to non-observant Jewish families to encourage and enable them, through a belief in Judaism to live full, active and fulfilling lives.
The activities are based in a community center that includes a Synagogue, events hall and study rooms. The organization facilitates innovative Torah educational programs such as learning partners in the afternoon and evening hours bringing together Torah scholars and professionals who have little Torah learning background or experience. Barmitzvah and Batmitzvah programs are run for youngsters. Classes, lessons, and lectures are open to all those who are interested in participating, irrespective of their level of observance. Weekend getaways, trips, parties for children, and more provide learning, fun, and social experiences. There are 200 families in the community from all sectors of Israeli society creating social bonds between religious, secular, and new immigrants fostering a communal feeling of belonging and mutual help.
