Shiur Acher

Shiur Acher works to expand opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged children throughout Israel, by connecting schools in low-income neighborhoods with volunteers who provide original, high quality, supplemental education. Shiur Acher offers career-driven professionals with years of experience to share, through their place of employment, a pragmatic and meaningful way to contribute to the Israeli school system by teaching “different lessons” in their own fields of expertise, exposing these children (Jewish, Arab, new-immigrants, at-risk youth) to different role models and opening their eyes and minds to new possibilities, dreams and opportunities.
