Round Up enables credit card users to give a permanent standing order to ‘round-up’ each of their uneven transactions to the nearest rounded amount-Shekel. For instance: buying a dress which costs 74.6 shekels will be charged in 75 shekels. The extra 40 Agorot will be directed to a charity of their choice, from a list of selected charities provided by Round-Up. No fee is collected along the way from the donor by the charity. 100% charity.
The order can be given in pay slips as well by rounding down the net amount to the nearest multiple 5/10/20 NIS.
When registering to the service, the donor is asked to choose up to three destinations for the donation. Such destination could be either a category (health, children at risk, education, etc.) or a specific charity.
The eligible charities are selected by a public committee chaired by a former President of the Israeli Supreme Court, Justice Meir Shamgar. The committee bases its choices on the performance and transparency of the organization
