Curtain Call

1. Promoting Community Based Theater and filmmaking around Israel in order to stimulate a social change and to found solidarity amongst the various groups which compose the Israeli society / are part of the Israeli social fabric. Our vision is to reach different groups around the country and enable them to express themselves through Community Based Theater and filmmaking. These means can allow the local community to deal with relevant issues and concerns, leading the participants to engage in a communal discussion. How do we do it? The theater and filmmaking groups deal with personal stories of the members. By incorporating these materials into their work, we can create significant change which will break stereotypes and form a healthy social dialog, bilateral bond, social awareness and redefinition. A social group’s redefinition can shatter prejudice and other barriers and become empowered, contributing, active group.
