Mercaz Female

Mercaz Female strives to reduce, and ultimately eradicate, eating disorders in Israel through education and successful treatment. Mercaz Female saves lives through their intensive, Outpatient treatment of eating disorders sufferers. Mercaz Female – Saving lives is a central commandment of Judaism. Mercaz Female fulfills this commandment by fighting life threatening eating disorders at our outpatient center in Yerushalayim. We are the only center in the area established to serve the .diverse Orthodox community of Greater Yerushalayim (Mercaz Female provides (in either Hebrew or English intensive, individual treatment. Our clinical staff includes a physician (who is a specialist in adolescent and family medicine), psychologist, art therapist, clinical social .worker, family therapist, dietitians and clinical mentors Parents also participate in regular family counselling. Our staff receives on going, intensive training from the Shahaf Institute in Tel Aviv. They then apply Shahaf's highly .successful methods to our Orthodox setting.
