At the oncology ward in the Soroka hospital in Beer Sheva, the organization offers alternative treatment administered by professionally trained volunteer therapists. All treatments at the hospital are given free of charge. The application of these treatments is coordinated with the medical staff of the oncology department and are implemented taking into account the treatment plan of the individual patients. The Center's outpatient clinic for treatment of cancer patients and their families offers treatments at a symbolic cost of 50 NIS. The Holistic Treatment Center of the Negev for cancer patients and their family is the only one in the region. All therapists working at The Center are trained professionals in the areas of alternative/holistic medicine and provide their services to The Center on a voluntary basis. These volunteers undergo specialized training for working with cancer patients by The Center and are provided with professional supervision by The Center. In addition, since there is a need to make this service accessible to all Negev residents, special emphasis has been put into bringing aboard therapists who speak Arabic, Russian and English.
