The non-profit association operates a community-based workshop that provides education and training to bicycle riders in the city, granting them tools to assemble, service, and repair their means of transportation with used bike parts. Pnimeet’s educational and experiential model provides a sense of ability and independence to a variety of sectors in the population, while instilling values of environmental awareness. How It Works The Workshop Our workshop offers the residents of a city a place to congregate, and learn how to assemble, service, and repair bicycles. Our inventory consists entirely of bicycles no longer in use, and spare parts that were donated toward the association's cause. Bicycle Mechanics Course Our mechanics courses are intended for a wide range of audiences, and comprise a series of hands-on sessions which include an introduction to theoretical, practical, and professional content. The hands-on course concludes with each participant assembling a bicycle independently, from start to finish.
