The Israeli Association for Neurofibromatosis works to ease the lives of patients and their families, operating an awareness campaign to raise public awareness of neurofibromatosis and its implications, providing support services, knowledge and information to patients and their families, supporting and promoting dialogue and cooperation among researchers in Israel and around the world in searching for treatments and cures, lobbying activity to include innovative treatments in the health insurance basket and making relevant institutions (such as the National Insurance Institute and government ministries) aware of the unique nature of the genetic condition and its implications for patients and their families
