Promoting the welfare and health of people suffering from rare diseases, supporting their family members in recognition that they have equal rights to any other patient in the health system, providing knowledge to various audiences, to patients and their family members and to members of the medical staff—paramedics and others treating rare diseases, to be an attentive ear to inquiries and questions from the public regarding rare diseases, to mediate between individuals and families and organizations of patients with rare diseases and health system bodies to help solve their problems, to initiate, conduct, participate, oversee and do whatever is necessary to promote and review research related to rare diseases, cooperation with organizations of patients with similar objectives in Israel and worldwide, performing all actions necessary to carry out the goals detailed above
