The association "Tivon and the Valleys for the sake of animals" works tirelessly for the welfare of animals in the Tivon area and the surrounding area, and in difficult cases also mobilizes to rescue animals from more distant areas. We strive to protect pets, especially dogs and cats that are abandoned in the field or are in danger of dying before dying in quarantine. The association also tries to promote compassionate consumerism, especially on the subject of vegetarianism and veganism and education for the values of animal love, compassion and responsibility for the environment.
The goals of the association:
• Protection of the animals in Tivon and the environment: we work to protect all animals, whether they are wild animals or pets. We take care of injured, sick or abandoned animals, and help them find a warm and loving home. The association mainly cares for dogs and cats, but also helps in rescuing wild animals and birds and transfers them to treatment centers that specialize in the field.
• Enforcement of animal cruelty laws: We work to make sure that all animals receive adequate treatment and decent living conditions. We report cases of abuse to the authorities, and strive to act to bring the abusers to justice.
• Animal rescue and rescue: we rescue stray and abandoned animals, capture them and provide them with medical care, rehabilitation and food. We work to find warm and loving adoptive homes for them.
• • Increasing awareness about compassion for animals: We believe that education is the key to change. We raise awareness of the importance of fair treatment of animals, and encourage compassionate consumerism. Our vision is to hold lectures, workshops and outreach activities in schools and the community, especially in the schools of the Arab and Bedouin sectors, where the children and youth are not exposed to these issues.
• Coordination and supervision of feeding corners: we try to take care of the needs of the street cats in Tivon, operate organized and supervised feeding corners and help the feeders with sterilization and neutering.
• Promotion of compassionate consumerism: we work to raise awareness of animal suffering in the food industry, and encourage vegetarian and vegan consumerism.
• Fundraising for the animals: We need donations in order to continue our important activity and are trying to raise donations to purchase food, medicine, veterinary treatments and even pay for boarding in situations of no choice. Every donation, big or small, helps us save lives.
• Recruiting volunteers for the volunteering association: we are trying to increase the community of volunteers for the benefit of the animals in order to save more and to allow expanding the required activity. We invite anyone who feels a connection to animals to join us as volunteers. We need your help in many different activities.
• Establishment of a shelter to rescue dogs and cats in the Kiryat Tivon area:
A center that will initially provide accommodation for ten dogs and ten cats.
The shelter will serve as a rehabilitation and adoption center and will operate as a volunteer center for the community: residents, high school students as part of the "Personal Commitment" project, students from "Oranim" College and "from the University of Haifa", and will also integrate the educational institutions in the area and the geriatric population.


• Promoting cooperation with the authorities: We are working to promote cooperation with the veterinary services in the councils in the Valley region, in order to ensure the well-being of all animals in the environment.
