im Hateva

We nurture urban sustainable living, social justice, community building, inspired by Jewish wisdom and thought. We develop educational models addressing climate change crisis "Im Hateva" is a green social initiative, where we create, with our own hands, the world worth living in. In 2016, we started on a barren piece of land (1.5 Acres), strewn with garbage and thorns, within the Beit Apel youth village - a home for at-risk children and youth. We base our wok mainly on volunteers (children, youth, and adults), counting 12,000 volunteers so far. We planted a food forest, with hundreds of fruit trees. We built ecological areas, and created a magical paradise in the heart of the city. We cultivate a green urban lifestyle: holding educational activities, nurturing social economy initiatives, initiating social partnerships, and fostering community resilience. At the same time, we grow fruits, vegetables, and medicinal plants, all organic. The produce is distributed, free, to everyone.
