Refanah is a new non-profit initiative in Israel that offers cancer patients and cancer survivors the opportunity to enjoy a few day healing respite together with their supportive family members without financial worries. The purpose of the holiday is to give them time to enjoy, reflect and rebuild relationships, and help them move on to emotional, spiritual and physical recovery. Refanah also facilitates a new kind of community social responsibility, giving cabin, guesthouse and hotel owners throughout Israel the opportunity to donate an in-kind resource that they do not always fully utilize, for the benefit of those in need – people touched by cancer. This unique experience allows the donors to make a direct and personal contribution to cancer patients and survivors as well as to the well being of their family members.
