About

Keren Or, established, functions as the only Israel center dedicated exclusively to providing education, therapy, care, housing and occupational opportunities to children and young adults who are visually impaired and have additional disabilities. The complex nature of a combination of blindness in addition to cognitive and physical disabilities requires a highly specialized treatment and learning program. At Keren Or, collaborative teams of professionals from diverse disciplines formulate relevant educational and treatment programs for each pupil and young adult. Keren Or attracts families from throughout the country who seek to register their children at Keren Or's Jerusalem campus. Many commute on a daily basis. Others are housed in Keren Or's on campus residential dormitory or, in the case of young adults, in protected living, community based apartments, located nearby. Keren Or is supported by a combination of public and private sources which together strive to sustain and enhance the demanding requirements of its highly specialized and respected program.
