Rambam health care

Our immediate goal is to raise donations for hospital beds, while our broad goal is to show that every little step leads to a big change. We believe that while our Mechina has stopped we can still play an active role and lead collective solidarity. We, the students of the Hatzeva Machina, took part in the ”national vision” course in January. In this course we went out to research a problem of, our choice, in Israel’s society. We chose to research the financial problem in the hospitals across the country. Throughout the course we visited hospitals, talked with doctors, nurses, specialists in the health system and even the minister of health, Yaakov Litzman. After the visits, the tours and the conventions, we gathered the material we got and started thinking. The hospital problems are affecting the country and all its citizens. Wages are problematic and work is complicated, and the level of overcrowding is unbearable. As we sat on the preparation for the research trip, we knew that the problem was big, and finding a solution seemed almost impossible. We decided not to give up on the issue and think of an idea that would lead to a change. We ended each call, tour or visit with the question - "If we could bring you a small sum of money what would be the most urgent thing you need?" There were various answers, but we decided to pick one problem and try to give it special attention. During our visit to Rambam Hospital, we sat down for a talk with the Director of Foreign Relations, Finance and Donations Dr. Esti Golan, from whom we received a lecture which left a very good impression on us. In the lecture we realized that the money problem was much greater than we thought. large numbers and problems were spoken of, which one of the more common ones was the lack of hospital beds. Today, as the state is facing the biggest health crisis it has known, we can not stop thinking about the research we did and what we learned. At the same time, We are surrounded by messages in every possible media that call for solitude, to stop and think, and realize that we cannot continue to exist this way in the world and need to change. A message that is, in fact, transmitted throughout most youth educational institutions, but a bigger wave is needed to shock our society, to make them stop, watch, and help change. Even the smallest thing. Because if each of us would make a small change, together we can change our reality.
