To nurture the unity of the Jewish people, to work for its aspirations and to ensure the continuity and development of the religious, spiritual, cultural and social heritage of the Jewish people. To strengthen the connection between world Jewry and the State of Israel through the creative central force of Jewish life and to strengthen bonds of identification among Jewish communities everywhere. To ensure the rights, status and interests of Jews and Jewish communities and to protect them everywhere their rights are affected, denied, violated or threatened. To encourage and assist in the development of the social, religious and cultural life of Jews throughout the world. To coordinate the efforts of Jewish communities and organizations regarding the political, economic, social, religious and cultural issues of the Jewish people. To represent and advocate for member communities and organizations before governmental, intergovernmental and other international authorities regarding matters concerning the Jewish people in general. To work for cooperation among all nations on the basis of universal ideas of peace, freedom and justice. Promotion of research on the Jewish world and Israeli-Diaspora relations. Dissemination of publications and organization of conferences. A forum for discussions and lectures on the foreign policy of the State of Israel
