The backgrounds of Dekel's board members span the spectrum of previous involvement in National Insurance ("Social Security"), the military, medicine, social work, education, etc. The Dekel Association is recognized by the Interior Ministry as a Non-Profit Organization, with all the permits and licenses required by law (Interior Ministry and tax authorities). The Dekel Association is not identified with any political trend or party line. Its sole purpose is to offer assistance through and in accordance with the recommendations of social workers. Dekel's uniqueness lies in the fact that it offers assistance all of Safed 's residents regardless of their background or origin. The aims of the Dekel Association are: 1. Initiation and development of special programs for susceptible populations; 2. Provision of material assistance and funds for prevention and rehabilitation; 3. Mobilization of support and intervention in times of crisis and also times ofcelebration; 4. Assistance to the needy at the holiday seasons (food, clothing, etc.) money for Passover, etc.; 5. Assistance to indigent students (tutoring, purchase of textbooks and learning materials, school uniforms, subsidizing field trips, etc.). The Dekel Association's funding comes from donations and fundraising drives. If you support these aims, we ask that you give us your blessing and your support, and help us alleviate the distress of the indigent of our city, Safed. You can help us by 1.
