Hospice Upper Galilee

To treat terminal cancer patients in their home by a multi-discipliary team which treats the patient and provides support for the patient and their family. Our team includes 3 physicians, 3 nurses, a social worker, a music Thanatologist (therpaist) dietician, clinical psychologist and a team of volunteers. Typically when the hospital and Oncology Departments cannot affect progression of the cancer, they tend to discontinue support for the patient. As the patient's condition deteriorates, this becomes problematic especially in the periphery where there are few options available. We believe that there is a lot that can be done to alleviate suffering even if one cannot arrest progression of the disease.
