Braude Academic College of Engineering in Carmiel will operate as an institution of higher education, will conduct academic study programs and grant its graduates academic degrees, subject to approvals of the Council for Higher Education and subject to the rules of the Committee for Planning and Budgeting within the Council for Higher Education, its decisions and directives and while maintaining the principle of academic freedom, and in accordance with the following objectives: maintaining academic tracks in the fields of engineering, technology and sciences, teaching and granting academic degrees for bachelor's degrees and advanced degrees in engineering, technology, sciences and arts according to approvals granted under law by the Council for Higher Education, conducting continuing education for the community and industry, conducting academic, theoretical and applied research, and operating research funds, developing laboratories and workshops for teaching and research, establishing libraries, developing curricula, teaching methodologies and teaching aids in the sciences of engineering, technology, sciences and arts according to permits granted under law by the Council for Higher Education, maintaining contact with other institutions of higher education in Israel and worldwide in order to advance the college's objectives, training teachers and promoting teaching including granting teaching certificates and other certifications, receiving allocations from the Council for Higher Education, receiving registration fees and tuition from students, receiving donations of all kinds including gifts, bequests in money or monetary equivalents and receiving assistance in any other way for the purpose of advancing the objectives of the organization or any of them as stated in section 7c, encouraging sports and leisure activities to promote the health, welfare and well-being of the organization's employees and students, granting scholarships, grants and prizes, collecting tuition and other payments for teaching services and other services, publishing books and periodicals, organizing symposiums, conferences and lectures, purchasing and registering copyrights and author rights as provided by law, holding them, using them, transferring them or selling them in any manner deemed appropriate.
