Educate love of Israel, love of the land and love of the Torah, according to the teachings of Rav Kook zt"l and help the needy The Orot Movement was established in 1999 by Rabbi Hanan Porat in order to educate love of Israel, love of the land and love of the Torah, according to the teachings of Rav Kook zt"l. Tnuat Orot operates a distribution system for the needy throughout the year and on special occasions A large charity project that operates throughout the country and supports hundreds of needy families each year. Orot Chessed provides food baskets for the High Holidays and Pesach. In addition Orot Chessed distributes blankets before the winter months. and the "Babies of Chessed" project which provides nutritional security during the first year of life of babies from low-income families.
