The "Meal Asam" NPO was established in 1997 to help Russian-speaking new immigrants and their families who have encountered the problem of drug use due to the crisis of immigration to Israel In 2000, the NPO Meal Asam was officially registered at the Ministry of the Interior. In the same year, the association created a rehabilitation center "Renaissance" , which was operated under the license of the Ministry of Health In April 2008, Association won the tender of the Ministry of Health for the opening of a state rehab clinic for people suffering from alcohol addiction and in a few months opened the rehabilitation center Victoria" " In 2015, the Association re-won the tender of the Ministry of Health and continued to rehabilitate patients at the Victoria Center. According to the association's statistics for the past 18 years, about 7200 drug and alcohol addicts recieved a treatment course in the rehabilitation center"Renaissance" , every sixth - successfully
