The VOC Association develops and implements programs to prevent sexual harassment among children. The programs provide tools to prevent and cope with the phenomenon. Using values of respect and equality contributes to the personal empowerment.
The main activities of VOC revolve around 3 challenges: increasing awareness, changing behavior and improving expert knowledge. By providing workshops for parents, educators, social workers and psychologists, the Association is increasing awareness of the many manifestations of sexual harassment among children. By developing 3 programs that address bullying, harassing and violent behavior among children in kindergartens and elementary schools, VOC is helping children and educators to adjust their thinking and behavior in school and at home. The programs have been approved by the Israeli Ministry of Education and have been implemented in schools throughout Israel. Since 2007, approximately 7,000 children have participated in these programs. VOC provides expert advice in all matters related to sexual harassment among children. VOC representatives have attended conferences in Israel and abroad and shared with participants knowledge, data and prevention strategies.
