The Nini Czopp Association provides social work services for Holocaust survivors, for their family members and their caregivers. Our approach is holistic, focusing on the individual and their environment from all angles.
The Nini Czopp Association was established in 2002 and provides social work services in Israel for Holocaust survivors, their family members, and their caregivers. Our holistic approach focuses on the individual and their environment from all angles. We don't operate from clinics; instead, we conduct home visits to understand the survivor's circumstances better, considering their advanced age and frailty. Our team of social workers are highly experienced specialists in trauma care. They have been providing unwavering support to Holocaust survivors for many years, assisting them through physical and emotional crises and ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. Additionally, our social workers advocate for the rights of both Holocaust survivors and the elderly. The frequency of home visits is flexible and changes according to the situation's specific needs, between at least once a month and every week. In addition, there is an ongoing contact by telephone with the survivor. Currently, we provide support for over 622 Holocaust survivors and their partners from across Israel. Additionally, we offer assistance to 57 second-generation victims who are severely psychologically affected. The association employs 18 social workers, who provide social services to the elderly all over Israel. In light of the experience we have gained over the years, we also hold workshops, groups, and lectures for family caregivers and professionals on various topics such as alleviating loneliness among the elderly, dementia, and medical planning toward the end of life. We aim to encourage independence as far as possible and maintain autonomy.
