The association is a professional, non-political, non-profit organization that seeks to serve as an umbrella organization for association members, to improve and establish the public and professional status of association members and bring the method to public consciousness, to be a unifying house and body for all IPEC practitioners, to represent the stream of Sigal Eddot Shanan committees in Israel and worldwide, to promote the IPEC method according to the Sigal Eddot Shanan stream in Israeli public awareness, to strengthen the professional knowledge and expertise of practitioners, to support practitioners in every possible way, to strengthen a shared professional therapeutic framework consistent with the Sigal Eddot Shanan stream, to unite all association members under an agreed ethical code according to which practitioners are obligated to work, to serve as a contact for patients if a practitioner did not act according to ethical rules.
