Big Brothers Big Sisters of Israel empowers children and teens by providing them with individual attention and support through a meaningful, positive relationship with an adult volunteer – a powerful tool in strengthening the foundation of Israeli so
BBBS is a volunteer mentoring organization which provides long-term adult mentors for lonely children and teens between the ages of six and eighteen from single-parent families. Founded in June 2003, we are the Israeli affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters International. Our model is based on the belief that a long-term relationship between a child or teen and a caring, responsible adult, can be a source of stability and growth for a child, and a richly rewarding experience for an adult mentor. We recruit, train and professionally support volunteers, aged twenty and above, who commit to mentor a child or teen by meeting weekly for an extended period of time.
