Our mission is to provide support to children with cancer, to help with the logistics and practical aspects of having a child with a life threatening illness and to bring happiness to children who have had their childhood stolen from them.
We are based within the paediatric oncology department at Tel Hashomer Hospital in the centre of Israel. We work closely alongside the Chief of Paediatric Oncology and his medical team of doctors and nurses. Our services include the provision of recreational activities for the children both whilst at hospital and at home between treatments, a wonderful recreational area with a variety of computer games in the Oncology Unit, a volunteer programme to befriend and provide emotional support to the children and help them cope with their feelings, the provision of exciting day trips and outings to help distract them from their ongoing medical difficulties, logistical help with wigs, transportation and hospital food and financial help with the cost of medication.
