Afikim provides disadvantaged children and their parents withtools to break out of the cycle of poverty and become productive, independent, and successful individuals.
Afikim, a network of Family Enrichment Centers in Israel, is dedicated to helping children and parents of low-income families break out of the bonds of their poverty by giving them the tools they need to become financially independent, well-adjusted, and productive individuals. To end and combat the vicious cycle of poverty, Afikim provides both immediate and long-term solutions via after-school youth enrichment programs, vocational training courses, and parenting and household management classes, among a continually expanding list of services. The Afikim organization, established in 2007 by a group of professionals with an extensive background in education and welfare, presently operates a network of after-school centers in Jerusalem, Lod, Kiryat Malachi, and Kiryat Shmona for over 450 children.
