Yehiel Association For The Promotion Of Waldorf Education - Yehuda Mountains

Yechiel, a non-profit organization, embraces Waldorf principles to foster education and community unity. Established 15 years ago, it hosts over 300 children across five kindergartens, a primary and middle school, and a teacher training center. Located between Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv, almost as far South as Ashdod, Yechiel is a Non-profit organization in the Waldorf spirit focused on education and community building. Built around five kindergartens, a primary and middle school, and a teacher training center, the Yechiel Non-profit was founded 15 years ago and is attended by over 300 children. Being the main activity hub, the school is located in the village of Tal Shachar, and serves approximately 100 families living in a 20-mile radius. Both school and kindergartens follow the Waldorf educational principles and as such are not a part of the official Israeli education ministry. Instead they operate under the ministry’s hybrid status, by which the school gets only modest financial support from the state, partially covering operational costs, but absolutely no funding for any infrastructure. The Yechiel Fellowship has always operated with a tightly balanced budget and is a fully transparent Non-profit with all its financials being made public, obtaining all state certifications for its flawless administration (official information can be found here, unfortunately in Hebrew only).
