Pre-Army Leadership Development Programs (Mechinot) Joint Council

a) During this period, the Joint Council has coped with two problems. 1) The Ministry of Defense delayed the transfer of the monies appropriated to the Joint Council. We are now in the process of passing legislation that would transfer the whol a) The Joint Council 's success is measured by its success in transferring money from the Government to the mechinot, in raising greater awareness re. the pre-army mechinot, in placing the mechinot on a more global and recognized stage. Establishing one organization has given us the ability to be more effective in all of our efforts, both inside and outside of Israel. b) With regard to future evaluation and supervision, we have established an external committee , which is comprised of 6 -7 prominent people who are highly recognized and acclaimed, and who will voluntarily be helping us with our plans and projects. These individuals represent a valuable resource for the Council. We have a working audit committee. The committee offered their recommendations for 2010, and for the future. This audit committee will enhance the effectiveness of the Joint Council. We are in discussions to hire a PhD to do research on the Joint Council and our activity, which will provide us with the self assessment methods , parameters and tools to increase our efficiency and effectiveness as an organization. The head of the audit committee is the Chair man of Israel Electric Company, Brigadier General (Res.) Yiftach Ron-Tal.
