About

The association operates to promote the status of Nazareth as a holy city for millions of Christians, through the empowerment of the event of the Annunciation that took place in the city 2000 years ago, marking the beginning of the Christian faith. To implement its goals, the association works to promote and develop Christmas celebrations in the city, including organizing activities and attractions that attract hundreds of thousands of tourists and visitors from around the country and the world. Thanks to the association's activities, Nazareth has become a festive destination for Christmas celebrations. The association's activities include: 1. Christmas Parade: A parade of peace and unity held on Christmas Eve, with the participation of citizens, Arabs, Jews, and tourists from around the world. Various groups, including representatives from different religions, institutions, clubs, associations, children with disabilities, school students, religious leaders, and dignitaries, join the parade. Christmas is a celebration of joy, peace, and unity, turning the parade into a symbol of coexistence and shared life between Arabs and Jews, conveying a message of mutual respect among participants and the public. 2. Christmas Tree Lighting in the city center: A festive event at the beginning of December with thousands of celebrants, featuring an official welcoming ceremony with blessing speeches and songs for Christmas. The event concludes with the lighting of the Christmas tree and a fireworks display. 3. Christmas Market - an international-level market lasting two weeks, attracting over 30,000 visitors. The market is highly designed with festive lighting and decorations comparable to Christmas markets abroad. It includes booths selling food, drinks, Christmas gifts, and holiday items, with a central stage hosting cultural performances and singing. 4. Light and Sound Show on New Year's Eve: A spectacular world-class show held above the Salesian Church on the hills of Nazareth, featuring colorful lights in the city skies, blending with global Christmas music, fireworks, and impressive laser beams. 5. Christmas Musical Productions: Large-scale productions such as "The Nutcracker" and "The Snow Globe," featuring stunning costumes, rich decorations, international songs, and dances performed by 50 local dancers, actors, and singers. More than 15,000 people attend these performances. 6. Cultural Productions: Three Christmas songs performed by local artists, along with the publication of a children's book titled "The Story of the Christmas Parade." The book narrates the parade's story, promotes social values, encourages children to innovate, believe, volunteer, overcome difficulties and challenges, and remain in community service. The book is distributed to all fourth-grade students in the city.
