Promotion and establishment of infrastructure for developing employment sources for all students graduating from higher education institutions in the Negev, Galilee, and haredi sector (in Jerusalem). Among other things, in order to prevent a "brain drain" from the periphery in the Galilee, Negev, and Jerusalem (with a focus on the haredi sector) by creating suitable employment environments for integrating academics and professionals into settlement frameworks in these areas. We will work to initiate new enterprises from sources in Israel and around the world—enterprises that will enable creation of diverse and numerous employment opportunities to prevent migration of peripheral residents to the center of the country. In addition, the organization will work to encourage transfer of enterprises in both the hi-tech and cyber fields, as well as in general, from the center of the country to the Negev and Galilee, as well as to Jerusalem. The organization will promote and develop new horizons related to employment in the periphery in order to establish the homes of graduates of academic and professional tracks from higher education institutions in those areas, and will assist them, as possible, in finding suitable housing. Beyond this, the organization will engage in developing economic indicators for examining and monitoring the progress of development of peripheral areas based on the various investments being made in them. The organization's activities will be conducted in cooperation with public bodies and philanthropic, volunteer, and private bodies whose objectives may align with the organization's objectives, such as JNF (Keren Kayemet) organizations in Israel and around the world, academic institutions, and municipalities and local councils in the areas of these regions, as well as with government organizations such as the Ministry for Development of the Negev and Galilee, the Ministry of Welfare, and the Employment Service. The initiative for establishing the organization is of philanthropist Ronald Lauder, who also serves as president of the World Jewish Congress and chairman of JNF-USA
