a. To cultivate good citizenship among residents in order to promote all that is connected to the development and welfare of the city.
b. To be a public body that will stand by the local government as a helper, and assist it in performing its duties both by presenting a list of people from which official representatives to the city council can be chosen in accordance with the law, and by encouraging its members to volunteer for various positions on municipal committees and other voluntary bodies related to the welfare of the local population.
