About

Keren - Vocational Rehabilitation Centers in Israel is a public trust founded in 1964 with the aim of providing people with disabilities or employment barriers support and guidance in attaining long-lasting gainful employment. Having established its presence throughout the country, as well as reputable expertise in the field of vocational rehabilitation, the Keren caters to approximately 14,000 people annually, through 16 assessment and rehabilitation centers, 47 supported and sheltered work enclaves, 4 youth centers (16-21), and 5 computer-aided training, education and communication centers, broadening horizons and creating access to mainstream work. The Keren works with people with physical, sensory, emotional, mental or developmental disabilities from birth or recent onset. The Keren also works with people with employment barriers such as new immigrants, chronically unemployed individuals, single mothers or widows and youths at risk. Our mission is to continue to identify, out reach and create vocational opportunities for people with disabilities and employment barriers and offer them a chance for a better and equal future through in-depth processes, tested methodologies and pioneering approaches.
